Since the start of 2023, at least 150 of these spaces have permanently closed – about 16 percent of the whole industry in the UK.

Two years ago, they donated their funds to the youth organization that nurtured their act, as well as other local music groups.
And winners that year M People gave their award to a MS organization after a acquaintance was diagnosed the disease.
"Receiving the award was ample," said artist the singer. "The money was the extra but we didn't need the extra, because we had the main prize. So our victory affected another person's life."
In the past week, the trust revealed it had saved two small stages in that region, by bringing them into public stewardship.
The Joiners in that area and The Croft in that location were purchased under the community ownership initiative, which is supported by a national body and music fans who buy "stakes" in the buildings.
